Request[AMA Request] Anyone who works for Netflix.

Feb 9th 2017 by pcyr9999 • 7 Questions • 625 Points

My 5 Questions:

  1. How long has "Dear White People" been in development? Answered: It's been in development since May 2016.

  2. What is the pervasive opinion of it in the workplace?

  3. Do we have any numbers as to how many people are canceling their subscriptions?

  4. If the number is significant, what are the reactions to people leaving?

  5. What is your opinion of it?

We may have an answer (unverified)

Q:

Why is Psych no longer on Netflix?! :(

A:

You know that's right

Q:

Almost all major companies would terminate general employees for disclosing the type of information you are requesting if they were not official media representatives. They could obviously do it anonymously, but then we wouldn't have verifiable proof.

You are better off sending an email requesting Netflix do an AMA directly. Marlee Tart with Netflix would be your best start. Here is their media contact page where you can request an AMA. You could even link this request page to show a gauged interest.

A:

Sent!

Q:

Yeah, make a title more specific than 'anyone at netflix'

A:

The wider you cast your net the more fish you catch. As of now there aren't any Netflix employees that have commented so I think it's safe to assume that tightening the scope isn't going to help get more answers.

Q:

But you also increase your signal to noise ratio of respondents. You would get better, more meaningful results by targeting your inquiry… Unless you like wading through irrelevent, unnecessary responses.

A:

You mean like yours? Or more like this one that clearly fit the current criteria and tried their very best to be helpful.

Q:

Typical asian

A:

Watching it now. Thanks.

Q:

I'd also be curious as to whether the reception of the trailer on YouTube has made anyone second guess the production.

A:

Doubtful

Q:

I don't work for netflix because of their hiring practices. Hazing potential employees should be illegal.

A:

Context?
